Candy Wrapper Belt by DesolateSmiles Candy Wrapper Belt by DesolateSmiles
The words/logos on a few of those pics are backwards coz I had to take the pics from a mirror.

I probably gained a couple pounds eating all of that candy..
It took about a week to make the belt itself.

I want to make another one (or a few) but I'll have to get a lot of candy. And I rarely eat candy.

There isn't a "Skittles" wrapper/logo on this belt. I was devastated that I didn't include it. The next one maybe, but I'd want that one.

Aaand, I'm thinking about making a belt from the drink labels from the 2-liter soda bottles. I'd try stamps but they're expensive. And I might try snack foods from those little snack packs...like, Doritos or Teddy Grahams or something.

cool idea. I don't wear belts, but I'm inspired to try and make one of my own of these.

How about I absolutely love this! It's cute and fun... and I can imagine you did have to eat an awful lot of candy. When I made my capri sun purse I hated having to drink so many. Anyways like emmaecesnce, I think I might want to make this for myself, but of course I will give you all the credit! As long as you don't mind! Once again, amazing job!

It is cute... I just redid the straps for it so I've been using it a lot. But thank you very much... I've set my family to candy eating. It helps that we use candy for some of the cakes at my work so I can keep those wrappers, but I imagine it's going to take a while. Anyways once again, amazing job! :w00t:

Thanks, and sure, no problem.
I first placed duct tape adhesive-side up, then put the wrappers on. (Make sure the duct tape's width would fit belt loops. I almost forgot when I made it lol) I had to use a bit of double-sided tape, coz the wrappers overlapped.
Once that's done you can use glue or tape, or glue AND tape, to protect the wrappers. I used both.

so yeah, if you've any other questions just ask =]
